Purpose

These general conditions regulate the contracting of the luggage storage service of LAZY LIZARD at Carrer d’Elkano 46, 08004, Barcelona, CIF 46992482D, through the website www.lazylizard.es, as well as its use.

The Service

 

Lazy Lizard offers its Users the possibility of renting any of its lockers for hourly periods.

 

Users may deposit their luggage and belongings in the Lazy Lizard facilities within the reserved locker(s) exclusively during the contracted reservation period.

 

Once the contracting process is completed, Users will receive a reservation confirmation code that will allow them to know the assigned locker number, the duration of the reservation, as well as the code or access key to the locker, as indicated in the section related to access and reservation.

Types of Available Lockers / What types of lockers does Lazy Lizard offer?

 

           Small lockers (M): 40 × 50 × 60 cm

 

           Medium lockers (L): 50 × 50 × 60 cm

 

           Large lockers (XL): 90 × 50 × 60 cm

 

Use and Access / What can a User put inside their locker?

 

Within the limits established in this document (see Section Limits on Locker Use), a User may place any items they wish, within the specified dimensions, so as not to overload the locker.

How can a User know if there are available lockers at Lazy Lizard?

 

Through the website www.lazylizard.es, the User can check locker availability for the desired dates.


When can the User access the locker(s) they have rented?

 

The locker rental service will be accessible to the User 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Therefore, any User who rents a locker may access it from the start date and time of the reservation and must remove their belongings before the end of the reserved period.

 

Once the reserved period has passed, Lazy Lizard is authorized to open the locker and remove the items. Under no circumstances will Lazy Lizard open or access the contents of any belongings.

 

It is the User's responsibility to deposit their belongings properly packaged and not leave loose items.

 

Withdrawn belongings will be stored on the premises for a period of 48 hours, during which they may be claimed by the User, who will be informed via email and/or WhatsApp that their belongings have been removed and stored for 48 hours.

 

After this period, belongings will be considered abandoned for all purposes, with Lazy Lizard assuming no responsibility for them and having full freedom to dispose of them, without any right of the client to make claims against Lazy Lizard.

Once items are placed by the User, can they only access the locker to remove them?

 

No, Lazy Lizard’s locker service is a rental service. The User may access the rented locker as many times as they wish or need during the rental period. Therefore, if the User forgets something or needs access to the locker during the day, they may do so without issues using the access code generated and communicated at the time of reservation.

What is the price that the User must pay per type of locker?

 

The price per locker is indicated on the website at the time of contracting, and the User may benefit from any current promotions.

Prices listed on the website include IGIC and refer to the rental of a locker (according to its size) per hour.


How are lockers used?

 

Lockers offered by Lazy Lizard are fully automatic. The User can make a reservation through our website www.lazylizard.es, providing their personal information, the number of lockers desired, size, and rental period.

 

Once the contracting process is completed, the User will receive confirmation of the reservation, the locker number(s), and the security code(s) to access their locker(s).

 

Thus, the User accesses their locker via the security code provided by Lazy Lizard at the time of reservation.

What can the User do in case of any issue with the locker?

 

In case of malfunction, blockage, or any other issue with the locker, the User has access to Lazy Lizard’s assistance service by calling +34 722 28 84 36 or writing to info@lazylizard.es.

Can the User modify or cancel their reservation?

 

Yes, provided such modification or cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the start of the reserved service.

 

To cancel a confirmed reservation, the User must contact Lazy Lizard at +34 722 28 84 36 or via email at info@lazylizard.es.

 

Cancellations or refunds will not be accepted if requested less than 24 hours before the start of the reservation.

 

Non-compliance by either party with obligations derived from these General Terms and Conditions grants the non-breaching party the right to terminate the reservation by written notice. Consequences of early termination due to breach are:

           In case of User breach, the reservation ends; belongings can be removed if the User does not do so within 2 hours after being notified. The User will not be entitled to a refund. In case of damage to the facility, equipment, or other users’ property, the User is liable for damages.

 

           In case of Company breach, Lazy Lizard will refund the User the amount paid online for the reservation.


Access and Reservation

 

Lazy Lizard will make every effort to provide the website in optimal conditions 24/7 and ensure, as reasonably possible, its security.

 

However, Lazy Lizard is not responsible for website malfunctions, temporary interruptions, or content loss attributable to third parties, unforeseen events, or force majeure.

 

Lazy Lizard reserves the right to temporarily interrupt website access for maintenance, making every effort to minimize duration and impact on Users.

 

To rent a locker, the following requirements must be met:

 

           Be 16 years or older.

 

           Accurately complete the fields in the reservation form on the website (name, phone, email, reservation date, rental days, number and size of lockers, payment details, etc.).

 

           Accept these general terms and conditions of service and locker use.

 

           Accept Lazy Lizard’s privacy policy.

 

 

Upon completion, the User will receive reservation confirmation via email, including locker number(s), reserved days, and access code(s).

Lazy Lizard reserves the right to limit, relocate, or cancel reservations due to mechanical/electrical issues or maintenance, without User entitlement to compensation.

If a locker malfunction occurs when retrieving belongings, the User must immediately notify Lazy Lizard at +34 722 28 84 36. Lazy Lizard will resolve the issue promptly, and the User is responsible for allowing enough time to collect their belongings.

If unresolved, Lazy Lizard will cover shipping costs to the User’s address if the User was unable to retrieve belongings due to the malfunction. No other damages or claims are permitted.

The User guarantees that all identity and reservation data provided are truthful, accurate, and complete.

Personal data will be used to manage the reservation and fulfill obligations related to the locker service. Lazy Lizard is authorized to process personal data as necessary for service provision. By contracting, the User consents to the processing of their personal data as described.

Lazy Lizard may use the User’s email for marketing communications regarding its services and offers. Users may opt out at any time.

Lazy Lizard facilities have video surveillance cameras to monitor locker status and usage by Users or third parties. Relevant signage is displayed per data protection regulations.


Users may exercise their rights to access, oppose, restrict, correct, or delete their data by written request with identification (copy of ID/NIE or passport) to info@lazylizard.es. Users may also file complaints with Data Protection Authorities, specifically the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Lazy Lizard does not transfer data internationally or make automated decisions using User information.

Data will be retained as necessary for service provision and legal obligations. If consent for marketing communications is revoked, data will be deleted accordingly.


User Obligations and Locker Usage Limits

Proper use of lockers:

           Deposit only personal belongings, temporarily, in the reserved locker.

 

           Do not use unreserved lockers without a confirmed reservation or code.

 

           Check luggage size before booking; no refunds will be given if it exceeds the locker dimensions.

 

           Do not overload the locker or place items outside the assigned space.

 

           Ensure the locker is properly closed when leaving.

 

           Immediately report any damage or abnormal situation to +34 722 28 84 36.

 

           Do not use lockers for illegal purposes or store prohibited items (drugs, weapons, stolen goods, pornography, etc.).

 

           Properly pack belongings before depositing.

 

           Do not place hazardous, polluting, explosive, or corrosive materials, unpackaged food, or animals in lockers.

 

           Do not share the security code with third parties.

 

           Do not use lockers to traffic goods between people.

 

           Access the premises only to use the reserved locker and only for a brief, necessary period.

 

           Do not eat or drink inside the facility.

 

           Remove items before the rental period ends.

 

           Leave the locker in good condition and report any issues by email to info@lazylizard.es.

 

           Do not take photos or videos inside the facility, especially of security mechanisms.

 

           Do not deposit valuable items or essential documents (money, jewelry, electronics, passports, tickets).


Consequences and Liability for Non-Compliance

Failure to vacate locker on time:

Lazy Lizard may remove belongings if the locker is not vacated on time.

 

Temporary storage and shipping costs are the user’s responsibility (€25 per item within Spain, €50 per item outside Spain).

After 48 hours without contact, belongings will be considered abandoned. Daily penalty of €150 for each day of delay, in addition to the locker rental cost.

Delivery is considered completed once items are handed to the carrier; Lazy Lizard is not responsible for transport risks.

 

 

Improper locker use:

Lazy Lizard may remove prohibited items and notify the police if necessary.

 

€150 penalty for prohibited items, plus user liability for damages.

 

 

Damages caused to lockers:

Users are responsible for damage to lockers, facilities, or other users’ belongings. Penalty: daily rental fee for each day the locker is unusable.

Repair or replacement cost: €1,500, plus any additional damages.

 

 

Payment of penalties:

Penalties will be charged using the payment method used for booking or via bank transfer.


Lazy Lizard Obligations

Keep lockers in good condition and available for the duration of the rental.

 

Lazy Lizard Liability Limits, Claims, and Legal Terms

Liability limits:

Lazy Lizard provides locker rental space only and is not responsible for the custody of belongings.

Users are solely responsible for the items they store. Lazy Lizard is not liable for theft.

Liability is limited to the duration of the locker rental period.

 

Lazy Lizard is not responsible for any damages or losses outside the rental period.

 

 

Claims:

Users may submit complaints via email: info@lazylizard.es. Lazy Lizard will attempt to resolve incidents fairly.

If unsatisfied, users may file a formal complaint with the consumer protection authorities of Barcelona.

 

 

Governing law and jurisdiction:

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Spanish law.

 

Both parties submit to the Spanish jurisdiction for any disputes arising from this contract.
